Esther Hunziker
Esther Hunziker (*1969) is an artist, lecturer and media designer living and working in Basel, Switzerland. Her work involves video, photography, installation and interactive online works. Deconstruction and montage are basic elements in her work where she often mixes the real with the illusory world, creating new alienated realities. Supposed opposites, such as as the normal and the extraordinary, the usual and the unknown, the authentic and the fake, the earthly and the alien, playfully shift in her on- and offline works.
Her work has been exhibited widely at exhibitions and media festivals, such as: FILE Electronic Language International Festival, Sao Paulo; EMAF European Media Art Festival, Osnabrück; ZKM Center for Art and Media, Karlsruhe; HeK House of Electronic Arts Basel, Basel; Kunshaus Baselland, Basel; Kunsthalle Basel; Aargauer Kunsthaus, Aarau; a.o.
